The explosion-proof box is installed on electric locomotives AM8D, 2AM8D. It can be operated in dead-end workings, on the outgoing jet and in areas dangerous for gas and dust.

A completely new design of the box is made in conjunction with an automatic switch, which is equipped with an insulation resistance monitoring unit and a battery discharge level monitoring sensor.

The original design of the battery box makes it possible to get access to the battery in a matter of minutes.
